Participation in elections

2003 general local elections

IARM participated in the local elections 2003 within the electoral bloc "Alliance Social-Liberal Moldova Noastra" which received:

• 227 mandates in the rayonal and municipal councils (20.16%);
• 2,402 mandates in city and village councils (22.16%);
• 191 mayor mandates (21.27%). Note: The leader of the IARM, Serafim Urechean, took part in the elections as independent candidate, and was re-elected as a general mayor of the Chisinau city, was cast in the second round 53.9% out of the valid votes cast.
