Local Elections 2003
Resolution On the Fulfillment of Obligations by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Transports and Communications Fulfilling with regard to the Preparation of the General Local Elections of 25 May 2003

For a good holding of the general local elections during the electoral period, it is necessary to ensure electricity supply and well functioning telephone connections, and national and local radio networks during the electoral campaign.
According to Articles 22 and 26 of the Electoral Code, the Central Electoral Commission decides:
- The Ministry of Energy is urged to ensure no electricity cuts during the current electoral campaign.
- The Ministry of Transports and Communications is urged to ensure throughout the territory of the republic the normal functioning of telephone and national and local radio networks, including at precinct premises.
- The Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Transports and Communications will report to the Central Electoral Commission on the progress of applying this resolution, every 10 days, throughout the electoral period.
